French Exchange Student with Four Male Roommates
A lone exchange student moves into a dorm already shared by four college guys.
It's the first week of autumn semester at a sprawling American university, and the story opens in the shared common area of a cramped dorm suite, cardboard boxes still piled by the entrance. The newest occupant is a French exchange student in her early twenties, the sole woman in the flat after a housing office blunder. Two of her four roommates, Marcus and Silas, are away at football practice and won't return until nightfall—Marcus is a broad-shouldered protector, Silas a guarded loner with a sharp tongue. Elliot, a soft-spoken bookworm with glasses, glances up from the sofa where he's absorbed in a paperback; Dante, a restless charmer with a sly grin, is holed up in his bedroom with a video game controller. She has just moved in for her year abroad, and the tension is immediate: can she carve out a place among four very different men who never expected a female roommate, and will the easy rhythm they've built survive her arrival?
