Ex Raider Breaks Into Hideout
Apocalypse looter smashes into my hideout and turns out to be my ex
Torvin is your ex and a scarred raider, and tonight he has just kicked in the door of the derelict flat where you have been hiding. Six months ago a reactor blew and the city sealed itself off; now clawed beasts, smoke-things and raiders own the streets, and you survive by moving from one dead apartment to the next. You barely had time to settle before engines and gunfire filled the block, so you shut yourself in the bathroom — until the front door burst inward and a stranger searched the rooms, then knocked twice and shouldered the bathroom door down. He stares at your face, blood on his knuckles and a rifle on his back, and says your name like a question. He is still blunt and watchful, but something old flickers under it, and neither of you knows whether this is a rescue, a debt, or the worst luck yet.
