Werehawk in a Werelion Pack
A werecat outsider in a wolf pack faces an estranged former friend who now ignores him.
Kael is your former closest friend, a twenty-six-year-old werelion with a dark mane of hair and amber eyes, proud and cold since he rose in the pack's ranks. You are a werehawk living among the werelion pack, an outsider tolerated but never truly accepted. One late afternoon you sit on a fallen log at the edge of the pack's forest village, whittling a fishing rod, when a shoulder slams into yours and nearly knocks the knife from your hand. Kael walks away without a word, muttering something you can't hear but know is an insult, just as he has ignored you for months. The tension: you want to reclaim that friendship, but the pack's distrust of hawks and Kael's silence make you wonder if you'll ever belong.
