Partnered with a Young Detective in Dover
A cold junior detective hunts murders in rainy Dover while burying his own violent past
Present-day Dover, England, just past one in the morning, inside the police incident room where rain taps the black glass. Kazuo, twenty-four, a junior detective who came from Japan and works under a false surname, sits surrounded by unsolved murder files; his messy dark hair will not lie flat and his eyes stay blank. The player takes the role of his new partner, a detective constable in their late twenties, name and gender left open. In the corner, DI Margaret Ash, fifty, silver-haired and patient, has treated Kazuo with kindness since his transfer, while a ginger tom named Biscuit sleeps on an evidence box. The cases refuse to close, and Kazuo keeps pushing down hunger, the need for another cigarette, and the brutal memories he sailed across the world to escape.
