An AI detective game: question suspects, follow leads, watch it play out

Partner with a young detective in rainy Dover, get caught at a witch's murder by a wizard detective, or shadow a captain through 1945 Moscow. Pick a case below or write your own, and play it as scenes with pictures, voices and music. 10 free scenes, about 10 minutes of film. No card.

What kind of mystery this is

Slopverse is open role-play, not a puzzle box with a fixed solution. You ask what you want, go where you want and accuse whoever you suspect. The AI writer plays the suspects and the world, and the story follows your lead. If you want a hand-built whodunit with a single right answer, a dedicated puzzle game will suit you better.

What you get instead is a case that answers you: press a witness and they may crack, lie or walk out; search the flat and something may turn up; accuse the wrong person and live with it.

Every interrogation is a scene

Suspects answer in their own voices, the speaker is named on screen, the narration is captioned, each moment is painted shot by shot, and the music tightens when it should.

Your own case

Describe the case in a line: a body in a locked library, a missing heiress, a poisoned dinner on a night train. The game sets it up and casts it. Or browse the crime shelf of the premises, each with a painted cover.

Good to know

For adults (18+); R-rated in tone at most, and no nudity in the pictures. Browser, built for a computer; phones work too. Made by one developer, Jonathan Larson, with a crew of AI coding agents; the story, pictures, voices and music are generated by AI while you play.

What it costs

10 free scenes, about 10 minutes of film. No card. Plans from $10 a month: Starter $10 (100 turns), Plus $20 (225 turns), Director $50 (600 turns). Top-up: 50 turns for $6, never expire. A turn is one move you send. The current plans are on the pricing page.

Questions

Is there one correct culprit?

Not by design: the story is improvised from what you do. Start your own case and it goes wherever your questions take it.

Can I play the detective, or someone else?

Either. You can be the detective, the partner, a witness or the suspect; you type what your character does.

Do the suspects really talk?

Yes. Every character speaks in a voice of their own, with a narrator between them.

Is Slopverse free?

10 free scenes, about 10 minutes of film. No card. After that there are monthly plans; see pricing.
