An AI choose-your-own-adventure where you write the choices

Choose-your-own-adventure books gave you two or three choices at the bottom of the page. Slopverse offers a few suggested moves too, but you can ignore them and type whatever you want to do. The story follows, and every choice plays out as a scene. 10 free scenes, about 10 minutes of film. No card.

Choices without a limit

Each turn ends with a few suggested moves you can tap. Or type your own: talk your way out, run, open the other door, ask the dragon for her fire certificate. An AI writer continues the story from what you chose, and the other characters react to it.

There is no page you can turn to that someone wrote in advance, so there is no wrong turn to flip back from either. A bad choice is just the next part of the story.

Every choice becomes a scene

Pictures are painted shot by shot for what just happened, every character speaks in a voice of their own with a narrator between them, the narration is captioned and the music follows the mood. The default view is cinema mode, full screen like a film; a chat layout is one setting away if you prefer to read.

None of it is pre-made, so a turn takes a moment while the pictures, voices and music are made for your scene.

Where the story starts

Pick one of the premises, each with a painted cover (fantasy, sci-fi, horror, crime and more), or describe a world in one line: a heist on the Riviera, a ship in a squall, a village with a hundred lamps. The game sets it up and casts it.

Gameplay: the line the player typed appears over the scene it became (Nana Pilots the Giant Robot).

Good to know

For adults (18+); stories can be dark, violent or romantic at about the level of an R-rated film, and the pictures never show nudity. It plays in a browser, built for a computer; phones work too. It is made by one developer, Jonathan Larson, with a crew of AI coding agents.
