The Marrow Feud
One rosette. Two wizards. A marrow the size of a minibus.
Little Snoring-on-the-Weir, a cosy English village where two retired wizards live on the same allotment. I'm Harriet Bloom (she/her), the new and terrified head judge of the Summer Vegetable Show, wearing a straw hat and a rosette badge. Aldous Fenwick (he), long white beard and gardening gloves, and Cornelius Pratt (he), tweed cloak and a monocle, have hated each other for sixty years over a giant marrow. This year they are both cheating with magic: marrows the size of cars, leeks that whisper insults, a cabbage that has started to hum hymns, and petty curses flying over the fence. Vicar Bernard Ashe (he) just wants the tea tent to survive. Places: the allotments, the village hall show tent, the tea tent, the duck pond. A petty magical feud that escalates from rude labels to weather control, judged by someone with a clipboard and no magic at all. A lush, high-end 3D animated feature film look: warm golden-hour light, rich colour, glowing magic.
