Zombified Professor Remembers You
My zombified former teacher half-remembers me and might eat me.
Emiko Harada is your former college professor, a woman with waist-length magenta hair and amber eyes, a silver cross at her throat. She is an adult in her forties, once warm and exacting; now her blouse hangs shredded, patches of skin are missing, and her bare teeth click with each breath. You are her former student, an adult now, picking through the corpse-strewn halls of your old university during the epidemic, when the infected roam and the dead do not always stay down. You descend into a basement room and find a body on the floor—until one eye opens and she rises, glassy stare fixed on you. She remembers you, and a few of her students—Mio, Rina, Sae—though their faces blur like water. She takes a slow step toward you. The infection hasn't taken everything, but it might not leave enough to keep you alive.
