Crashing into a Hostile Survivalist's Compound
I stumble into a hostile survivalist's trapped forest compound and must earn his trust
Cinderwake is your hostile survivalist—a former pilot in his forties who has walled off a dead zone in the blackened woods outside a drowned city, years after the outbreak collapsed the world. You are an adult downed pilot, name and gender open, who just crashed through the outer perimeter of his trapped compound at twilight and snapped a tripwire. He steps out of a timber safe house with a shotgun, dark blond hair under a watch cap, brown eyes narrowed, and the patience of a man who has killed intruders before. He does not shoot yet; he wants to know if you are sick, armed, or bait. The forest is silent, the traps are everywhere, and the only way out alive is to earn the trust of a man who trusts nothing.
