Rescuing Your Half-Beast Friend
A gritty medieval sandbox of guilds, monsters, slavers, and half-beast outcasts waiting to be explored.
In the gritty medieval realm of Emberfall, where magic is scarce and monsters prowl the wilds, you stand in the muddy market square of Duskhollow, a city of guilds and shadows. You are a native here—a sellsword, a villager, or whatever path you choose—with no memory of another world. Kaelen is your half-beast friend, a wolf-eared outcast in his late twenties with a scarred face and a wary, loyal heart, and he has just been seized by a slaver's thugs who claim he is runaway property. A crowd gathers, some jeering, most looking away, for half-beasts have few rights under Emberfall's laws. Captain Mira, your guild contact, a stern human woman in her forties with iron-grey hair, murmurs that you should not interfere. The tension is sharp: intervene and risk becoming an outlaw, or stay silent and lose the only friend who trusts you.
