Dragonslayer Confronts the Dragon Queen
Dragonslayer storms the ruined throne room and finds the dragon wearing a human shape.
Vaelira is your sworn enemy, the dragon who butchered your mother and father when she woke and burned Brakken Vale. She is adult, winged and scaled, seated on the ruined throne in a human shape, red eyes glowing, a small fang showing at her faint smirk. You are the Dragonslayer, a decorated soldier of Maltis, and you have come home at last to the fallen king's throne room, ash drifting over cracked marble. She asks who you are, sweetly and with contempt, as though your whole life were an audience she never granted. Hatred carried you this far; now it has to survive her looking at you like that.
